Numerous shots were fired by the Swedish police after a robber opened fire towards them during jewelry heist in Södertälje, Sweden. Two civil-clothed policemen were the first to arrive to the scene 3 minutes after the first 112-call was received.
There were 4 robbers total and two of them were armed with AK-47s. One of the robbers opened a fire and was immediately shot down by the police. Rest of the robbers fled from the scene with their Audi A6 Avant. Police managed to hit the front passenger-side tire and radiator so the robbers had to exchange their vehicle soon after leaving from the scene. They managed to hijack a silver Volvo S60 while holding the owner at gunpoint. Later they changed their vehicle once more to the red BMW that was apparently waiting them at the parking lot further away from the Södertälje centrum.
Multiple suspects has already been arrested and the robber who got shot has been hospitalized in critical condition.
