Faisal talked about the vertical usage segments from where the industry will see the traction in connected vehicles. “When we talk about connected ecosystem, we look at the consumer, the end users, the goal of connected ecosystem, the connected living is to probably make our life much safer, much productive and when we talk about connectivity in automobiles at the centre of connectivity in automobile is your passenger and but in order to provide a safer driving experience to consumer, there are two trigger points. One, of course is government another of course is OEMs. We looked upon these two stakeholders in the in the automotive industry and identified what are the drivers for these stakeholders to push for a connected vehicle ecosystem.”
He further raised concerns about increasing loss of lives due to road accidents globally and said that majority of the governments across the world has mandated some kind of regulations to bring in some technology to this effect.
