Happy New Year! Before I get to my special announcement, I want to let you in on a photography secret I have. Almost all of my on-location photos are taken during golden hour, or right around sunrise and sunset. However, I prefer photographing during sunrise. Here are 3 reasons why:
3 Reasons To Photography at Sunrise
No distractions: There are no people around to bother you or be in the background of your shots.
Great, soft light: The early morning light, or golden hour, is best around sunrise and sunset. This light is very flattering for portraits because it is soft and doesn’t have harsh shadows.
Provides more time: If it is bad weather or something happens, which often does, you still have the rest of the day to shoot. However, shooting later in the day really limits your options if unplanned circumstances occur.
