Student: Arpeggios, okay. Can you help me understand how to use those in a context of the kind of music that I normally play which is Southern Rock and Blues?
TOM HESS: Sure.
Student: Without it being really you know, sounding out of place, I mean is there a way to incorporate those arpeggios into, you know, some more, Southern Rock?
TOM HESS: Okay, yes and kind of. Yes, can I show you how to apply them over Blues or Classic Rock, yeah very easily. Will it sound out of place? Well from a musical point of view, no, not at all, but stylistically the guys that you listen to don’t play that.
