Hey yall, welcome to the Real Women of Philadelphia at http://www.pauladeen.com/realwomen ! This is an interactive cooking show with two phases. It all begins with a casting competition that starts March 29th, and runs for 8 weeks, until May 23rd. There will be weekly competitions, giving you a new chance to win each week. You may enter each competition as many times as youd like, for as many weeks as youd like. Its going to be so much fun, and so easy to enter!
On Monday of each week, Ill post a video of me cooking a dish that fits the category, to get you ready and excited. All you have to do is submit a recipe by Friday, for that weeks category; you can make whatever youd like, but it has to use cream cheese in it, in some way. Simple as that!
Well pick two finalists each week, for a total of 16 finalists. They will each be flown to Savannah, and theyll get to meet me, and participate in an amazing live cook-off on June 30th. We will pick four winners from this cook-off and they will be crowned the Real Women of Philadelphia. They will lead this website for the rest of the year, star in cooking videos, and work with the community to make a cookbook. Its going to be a wild ride!
Its really easy to join the community, watch videos and participate in the casting, so I hope everyone signs up! Were only looking for female chefs, but to all my men out there, you are welcome into the community. I encourage you to cheer the girls on, and give them support.
The second phase will involve the women selected in the casting competition working with the rest of this community to create a cookbook! It is going to be really exciting and well fill you on all of that in a few months, but for now lets focus on the casting competition that starts next week.
