More state repression in Canada. An increasing number of photographers and journalists are being criminalized by the country's police forces. Critics say the police are above the law in Canada and their targeting of media workers are politically-motivated.
Freedom of expression and freedom of the press are the core components of any democracy. But in Canada there have been numerous examples in recent history of those rights being abrogated.
