Over the last 12 years, David Deutchman has held and soothed over 1,200 babies at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite Hospital. He’s a “baby buddy,†a person who spends time comforting babies who are delivered prematurely or who may require special medical attention. Nicknamed “the baby whisperer†by nurses, David’s nurturing support has become a godsend for parents while they are away at work or caring for children at home.
