Bookmarked 531 weeks ago stacey dash talked with steve doocy today on fox amp friends where she said it was ludicrous that people were getting upset with the oscar awards for not nominating any black actorsthe awards ceremony has been the subject of scrutiny in the past few days with spike lee and jada pinkett smith among the biggest african-american hollywood figures to suggest that people not bother with itwe have to make up our minds either we want to have segregation or integration dash said if we dont want segregation then we need to get rid of channels like bet and the bet awards and the naacp image awards where you are only awarded if you are black if it were the other way around we would be up in arms its a double standardit should be noted that white artists can and have won bet awardsfrom there dash said the bet channel shouldnt exist for the same reason that black history month should be axed for not being counterbalanced by a white history month she also attributed the problem to president obama not inspiring more racial inclusiveness in his hollywood supporters and that it was a disservice to accuse the academys choices of being blatantly racist |
