drone crash - i could have titled it 039how not to avoid a flying pumpkin039so i brought my phantom 2 to the pumpkin farm and they had a pumpkin cannon that shoots pumpkins into the woods a couple hundred feet away at over 200 mph my daughter says quotit would be cool to get video from the woodsquot not blaming her or anything so i set it out in the woods just in front of the trees and maybe a few feet above the tree line i ask the guy operating the cannon thing where the pumpkins go and he pointed to a clearer spot in the trees with less leaves so i camped the drone a good 15 feet to the left of that he pulls the rod and the pumpkin flies out veers to the right a bit and i had no time whatsoever to react the pumpkin slams into the drone and there goes 500 i thought the gopro would be shot too but it was fine after i eventually found it 4 hours later the gimbal wasn039t even banged up a whole lot but a rod that goes through one of the axis rotating things was sheared off after yelling 039no039 at the top of my lungs because i have a job to do with that quadcopter later on this week i calmly asked the guy operating it what happened why it veered off course and why it came in lower than he said he told me it looked like someone dropped a small pumpkin into the chute after he put his big pumpkin in earlier and that that affected the flight of the pumpkin unbelievably bad luck but i was stupid for having it anywhere near close enough to get hittotal damage only 500 the guts of the drone were still okay 3 prop motors worked fine the other had to be resoldered and i needed a new shell the gimbal like i said was shot needed new landing gear too forgot to mention that and a new transmitter as that was never found gopro looked and worked as though it never was in an accident except that there was a piece of pumpkin stuck hard to it once i cleaned it up it looked finepumpkins and drones do not mix

an oil drum barrel and a bit of metal pipe is all you need to make a really simple but effective pizza oven it may not look very fancy but it works well and it will cook a whole lot of pizza also instead of waiting for daysweeks for your clay oven to dry enough to use an earth oven can be made and used on the same day which is really handy if you have a few people coming roundplease like and share if you enjoyed this video : - a few notes on our oven first up thanks a million to maggie bill and michael who arrived from the us just in time to help build this oven they also did most of the filming for this - and michael made some excellent pizza dough too thanks guys you were greatthe soilearthstones are vital to keep the heat in but you could use sand clay or bricks too dont use bark mulch or anything similar as it will catch fire for sure on our oven the soil ended up being around 8 thick at the top which was good but more than was really needed we would have built the whole thing into a bank which would have saved a lot of work but there wasnt one handy i would suggest you aim for 6 minimumthe chimney pipe isnt essential the fire would burn anyway but it makes controlling the fire easier you need a hot oven which means a fast burning fire take it down or block it off when the fire is out to retain the heatfuel small section dry branches are best for a fast hot fire you dont want a smouldering cool fire so perhaps your very first job is to prep your fuel and leave it to dry somewhere we cut ours to length and left it in the greenhouse for a week only thin flat foods can be cooked at such high temperatures hence pizzas and flans as the oven cools you can try thicker breads and cakes and you could cook a casserole over night too on the day we made this video we were cooking for over an hour and the oven could have cooked for quite a while longerthe sandblocks inside and the soil outside were all damp so some heat was needed to dry them out before they could really heat up drying them first would have helped but obviously wasnt essential if we keep this oven covered then it will always be ready to jump into culinary actionyou dont need a wooden door you could just use the drum lid but timber is an insulator so it should keep more heat in also the weight of the soil squashed the barrel a bit so the lid didnt fit properly draughts are the worst try to keep it closed up really tight you could use bricks for a door too our wooded one was scorched black but a splash of water stopped it combustingif youre interested in the rounders game you might like to see last years matchhttps:wwwyoutubecomwatchv=8m_sjjvsk3y
