cruising along on a solo ride in the renz area i see this helmet in the trailwhaaa i probably would have never seen the quad up there if i hadnt seen the helmethe said he was up there for about 5 min039s before i found him therethe trail he was on was just above so im pretty sure when he rolled off the trail his quad rolled 270 degrees before pinning him lucky it pinched him there instead of his chest or head yikesyou can039t really hear much unless you crank the volume waaay up don039t forget to turn it back down if you do so here039s some of what happened: i warned him that i might not be able to lift it very high and that i might have to let it back down on him which happened and that clearly hurt in a big way sorryi gathered these rotting logs i found for him to stuff underneath to prop it up next time i lift but once i got it up a ways i guess he decided he had to get the heck out of there and got most of the way out one more small lift after that and he was out and his legs were probably very numbi was pretty winded from lots of fast singletrack before i even got there i gotta get in shape for these kinds of daystoo bad the first guy to come along is old weak and has a bad back

we were caught in a flash flood in one of utah039s most famous slot canyons we checked the weather the day prior and there was no chance of rainwe were out of cell phoneinternet coverage this is proof of how fast things can get ugly we had hiked little wild horse canyon in the san rafael swell before always being cautious the forecast had changed to 20 chancethis was a fairly light rain hard to believe the results we had hiked up further this video is us running back to find the girls we left behind we found them in an opening waiting out the storm the lower slots are actually much narrower than these luckily my wife knew to backtrack to this opening as soon as she saw the water coming not sure of the results had we not found themalways get to higher ground and wait it out you won039t outrun itfun as it was to pretend for a while: wwwutahmototrailscom
