Bookmarked 414 weeks ago the idea of a kinetictwirling ring box is not mine this execution of the idea is my original design it039s based on a mechanism that can be found in paper craft paper engineering pop up books and origami the idea is to convert linear motion into rotational motion almost all of these ring boxes i039ve seen use the same mechanism which is a creased x type fold with some ring-holder piece being affixed to the inside or convex side instead to add some lifting action to the ring-holder i affixed the ring-holder piece to the convex side of the x fold nothing earth shattering but it did require more thought to the engineering of the housing since now i039d need a platform section and a hollowed out section that this ring holder could recess intothe ones i039ve seen online seem overpriced for what they are essentially a pop-up card piece of origami i wanted to figure out a better way to do iti039m happy with the way it came out it039s slim low profile there are no visible |

Bookmarked 494 weeks ago read my new book https:wwwamazoncomdpb01ick0af4pinball marble run https:youtubezm572lp0u3yride along on the hot wheels car as it travels through 8 different track sections all connected by teleporting tunnels from the backyard to the big hill to the pool and back this tracks got it alleach section worked on its own from tunnel to tunnel the cart is powered entirely by gravity at all times in total there are 11 cuts in the video 7 between locations and 4 for slow motion footage the jump section and the loop section were filmed twice once in 30 fps and again in 120 fps and the final video cuts from the normal speed footage to the slow motion footage for the duration of both the jump and the loopthe cart worked reasonably well underwater and only fell off the pool track a few times the main problem with the pool track was keeping the track connected and in place a rock was attached to the end of the track in order to weigh it downin total about 200 feet of track was |
