a funny song about gandalf from the lord of the rings trilogy this epic song tells the tale of gandalf as he journeyed through middle earth a great way to sum up these masterpieces for peter packson039s upcoming the hobbit: battle of the five armies enjoy : edited written recorded composed amp performed by: shane blairedited written recorded amp performed by: shane blairmain chorus theme and original lotr tune by: howard shorevideo footage obtained from: newline cinimas amp warner brothers via digital copylyrics belowcomma039s used as slight pauseheaded to the shire humming one of my favorite tunes about to go see my friend bilbo who039s having his birthday soon ran into young frodo and he tells me that i039m late a wizard039s never late or early he arrives when he means to a disturber of the peace the hobbits labeled me and as i look around i see dirty looks on the street but we039re very old friends bilbo baggins from bag end plus i love the little hobbits with their hairy little feetchorusgandalf the grey a guardian of middle-earth a wizard of magnificent power with his staff and with his wisdom he will guide the way he039s the best of the maiar join him and you039ll be okayit039s good to be back with old friends of mine after all this time smoking old toby lighting off fireworks it039s true this will be a night to remember it was during the speech when things got weird bilbo put on a ring that made him simply disappear i met him at his place when he finally planned to leave he left frodo everything even left his ring here i039m getting bad vibes from this thing by the hour i do a little research and learn it039s the ring of power i take frodo and sam and i send them on their way to meet at the prancing pony at the end of the day but first i must meet with the head of my order saruman the wise much whiter much older i speak to saruman about what039s going on but he039s gone mad wants to join sauron so i fight him at isengard the best that i can but he039s a white wizard took my staff with his hand high above the land at the mercy of this man i039m at the towers top and i can039t even stand there is no hope he039s going to kill me but in the distance i see a little bug flying luckily i speak moth they do errands for me good thing i039m friends with eagles if you know what i meanchorusgandalf the grey a guardian of middle-earth a wizard of magnificent power with his staff and with his wisdom he will guide the way he039s the best of the maiar join him and you039ll be okaynow in rivendell the home of the elves i apologies to frodo for being delayed as well lord elrond concludes that the ring must be destroyed we left with nine companions and the fellowship was born there was boromir legolas gimli amp aragorn there was merry pippin sam amp frodo and then me of course the path was rough great valleys high peaks we had to take the mines of moria underneath i was there we were overrun with cave trolls and orcs if it couldn039t get worse we awoke a balrog the bridge of khazad-dum i said he quotshall not passquot i said quotfly you foolsquot and went after his ass from the lowest damn dungeon to the highest damn peak i defeated this thing using sword lightning i felt life slip away as if it was my last day but the maiar sent me back no longer gandalf the grey a white wizard now new beard new staff and i got to meet with merry pippin amp treebeard real fast then i met with the boys and i called for shadowfax the lord of all horses now we039re off the rohan it looks like king theoden039s not being himself he needs some help saruman has him under an evil spell not an easy task but i restored him to health and i gave him his old sword then he started doing well 10000 uruk-hai headed this way we039d meet at helm039s deep first light on the fifth day with the riders of rohirrim i arrived to the east and i led the full charge and we slayed those foul beasts well i guess that the ents defeated saruman and i039m just basing that on the thing that his body fell on then pippin found a seeing stone that showed him sauron and saw the white tree of gondor this journey will be longbridgewe stand at gondor the white city without a king osgiliath burns and the survivors fleeing the sons of rohan charge the fields of our enemies many are killed but we make safe the city sam and frodo make their way throughout mordor we must draw sauron039s eye away up to the north this has been a violent war but frodo makes it to mount doom the earthquake helped us but we had my eagle homies toochorusgandalf the white mithrandir eagle rider a servant of the secret fire his task is done he039s not needed anymore he and the ring bearers on the last ship to valinor
