aruba trip 2014: a true island experience
Bookmarked 598 weeks ago 3 day adventure around the island: beach hopping off roading good food and good company under the caribbean sunsubscribe and check out my other travel videos blog http:wwwaperezvoyagescom instagram jerseyboy88traveling to aruba was not just an ordinary getaway to the beach it was a trip with much personal meaning and turned out to be far more amazing than i had ever anticipated my grandmother is the one that has inspired to to travel she is what brought me into the travel world and post college graduation i have been doing it religiously working hard for it everyday making videos everywhere i go out of the many destinations shes has been to aruba was her favorite and had told me many amazing things about the island i had always wished to travel her and experience what she had experienced for myself after my quick 3 days on the island i personally feel i got her experience and multiplied it by 10 i made a friend through facebook two years ago and once i arrived she her son and her friend make my stay on the island more memorable than i had imagined i rented a jeep to get around the island through airbnb i stayed in a nice guesthouse in savaneta on the southern end of the island which greeted me with a beautiful sunset sitting on an old pier next full day we all got together picke up some water and goodies and set off for an all day off-roading on aruba west coast desert coast or better named the quotwild sidequot starting from the red anchor at the south seeing the windmills two caves: guadirikiri and fontein two quotbocaquot beaches: dos playa and boca prins overlooking cer arikok: one of the highest points and finally stopping at the natural pool after an amazing swim around and fun in the natural pool we quickly exited the park and returned to the rough coast overlooking a few natural bridges including the now collapsed natural bridge checking out the bushiribana gold mine ruins making a prayer at the alto vista chapel and finally heading back for delicious food next day memorial day we headed off to the korps mariniers dutch marine corps the only day the base opens to the public to check out how the dutch marines do there thing from there we headed straight to the southernmost end seroe colorado to for a nice swim in baby beach driving up passed the valero refinery in through san nicolaas and up the our second gold mine ruins balashi ruins from there we headed up to hooiberg where my little buddy jarehd and i climbed 500 steps to overlook the island with time running short for the sunset we drove up to the northern tip to see the california lighthouse briefly before we headed off to the tourist area for the sunset on eagle beach where the beautiful fofoti trees are divi divi trees after a nice dinner at my friends house we made our sad goodbyes and i set off back to my guesthousemy last day consisted of driving to oranjestad for a quick sight see some souvenir purchases and to acquire beach sand in a beer bottle for my traditional island tradition to bring home i could have had a great trip exploring the island alone but with the company i had from the island i was shown local route off the beaten path stuff and just overall given the best hospitality and company i could ever ask for i was made a custom made aruba bracelet and given an aruban hat and bandana as a gift before i left my grandma always told me that she loved aruba and always found a reason to return after leaving i could agree with her i love aruba too footage captured with with an iphone 4s and gopro3compiled with final cut promusic playlist triple s - tuma turla nueva fuerza - mi banananutzbeatz amp smb ft mc roga - let039s get nutzradio david guetta - shot me down ft skylar greyradio - ilegales - chucuchabiggy amp upgrade music-tene secreto upgrade music - turista riba mi isla mi stima aruba |
