i bought a 1930 not 31 like i said in the video model a 5 window coupe all original except for a dropped axle a mallory dual point distributor some dual electrode spark plugs four blade radiator fan 15quot steel reversed center wheels with slicks and a lawnmower fuel tank bolted to the dash reasons to believe it was a hot rod it wouldn039t turn over when i got it so i took the plugs out and poured some mistory oil in the holes and let it sit for a few weeks i turned it back n forth till i was able to give it a few full turns checked the oil level put some gas in it hooked up a battery and it turned over fine with the starter but no fire pulled out the distributor to find a homemade shaft extention that wasn039t long enough so i rebuilt the distributor made a new shaft rebuilt the carb and now it fired up i called adrian to come over and check it out he said quotit sounds good but don039t try driving it untill you change the oilquot since the oil looked to be ok and at the correct level i drove it up and down the alley i called him again to let him know how it went and the first thing he asked was quotdid you change the oilquot so i got to work took the drain plug out and oil dribbled out no matter what i did it wouldn039t drain out so i took the oil pan off and found the oil caked at the bottom of the pan lesson learned always pull the oil pan off to make sure you don039t run your newly acquired old motor with a pan full of crud i hope this helps more videos of this model a to come so stay tunned thanks for whatchingthanks for the great advice adrianto see it running check http:youtubez5v0oxp8roe

i built this grass hut up on a ridge it039s roughly parallel with the tiled hut and wattle and daub hut that are a couple of hundred meters away down in a valley i built it on a ridge to get away from mosquitoes in wet weather this project took 7 days to make i looked for a spot and cleared it on the first day built the frame on the second and spent the next 5 collecting grass grass is difficult to collect in this dry forest and i had to climb further into the mountain to get it the design is a simple pointed dome that039s easy to build the tools used were simply sharp stones and a digging stick it039s 25 m wide and 2 m tall 8 lawyer cane strips were driven into the ground to form the ribs of the structure and hoops of cane were put over this to attach the grass to vine was used to tie the frame together and to tie handfuls of long grass to it when the hut was almost finished a cap was made and lifted onto the top of the dome to finish it this hut is easy to build and houses a large

marble mountain is a large marble machine still under construction it consists of 25 sections that mesh together to form one kinetic sculpture every element is themed or will be upon completion to an aspect of my life or to something that i find interesting some of the elements include a roller coaster ski jump times square lombard street and a skatepark it took 3 years to get to this point of being able to turn it on and watch it go and i will continue to work on it and get it fully completed a detailed history of the progress can be found at:https:wwwinstagramcomexploretagsmarblemountainprojectfacts:-it has a footprint of 12039 x 8039 and stands 8039 tall-the material of the tracks and supports consist almost entirely of wood-everything is custom-made from materials bought mostly from craft and hardware stores mainly michaels and home depot-the lift is 11 feet long holds 90 marbles at once and rotates at 1 revolution per second 60 rpm-it takes at least 250 marbles to keep it running without delay but looks better with 300-there are 32 possible paths for the marbles-there are 14 rockers that distribute the marbles onto the different paths-the first year and a half of construction happened in my apartment before moving to a small warehouse-the original design was smaller and not as cool so a redesign took place making it much bigger and morphed into a half-conical shape with the lift right down the middle-i do know how much it cost to make thus far but even my finace doesn039t know that number-it takes just under an hour to set up or tear down marble mountain-since it is modular i could remove a section and rebuild it as something else as long as the tracks matched up with the other pieces
