Bookmarked 608 weeks ago today we039re doing some kitchen chemistry using common household items this is the type of cooking that gets me excited because i039m experimenting with recipes for solid-state rocket fuelhttp:wwwthekingofrandomcommusic by jason shaw headingwest http:wwwaudionautixcomproject inspired by: http:wwwjamesyawnnetskilletlargeindexhtmlthanks to nighthawkinlight for tips and troubleshooting on getting my first rocket to launch successfully http:wwwyoutubecomusernighthawkinlightwarning: this project should not be attempted without adult supervision and adequate training misuse or careless use of tools or projects may result in serious injury death andor permanent damage to equipment and property ignition of an incendiary or explosive material may not be legal in your area use of this video content is at your own riskthis recipe calls for a 6040 mix of kno3 and white table sugar by weight and i039m going to make a 100 gram batch so i039m adding 60 grams of stump remover first followed by 40 grams of granulated white sugar i039ll need some sort of container to hold this in and i039m thinking these mega block legos might work at this point the mixture is just runny enough that it can be coaxed into the container it takes about 60 grams to fill this red block and when i039ve cooked up a little more i039ll add that to the blue one it039s darker in color because it cooked longer and generally speaking i think the less it is cooked the better another batch was made using a mix of 58 stump remover 29 sugar and this time i used 13 corn syrup and 30ml water the water was cooked out the same way as the last and then about 1 gram of homemade rust powder was added and stirred in throughly when it was ready it looked like a creamy chocolate frosting and i packed that into the green lego i may have accidentally trapped an air bubble inside overall i think i039m happiest with these mixtures using the rust with a different homemade casing that actually has a nozzle i was able to get a successful rocket launch that i think went a couple thousand feet high |

Bookmarked 548 weeks ago attention: i want to put this out before anyone hears anything differently on july 4th 2015 i was arrested by neptune beach police officers for playing the star spangled banner and a few seconds of ted nugent on my guitar on 1st street and margaret in the 32266i originally set up in the middle of the street but was told by an officer that i was going to go to jail if i kept playing and that i couldn039t play in the street i then asked if i could just move it back to the side walk and the officer said yes so i did after i got done multiple officers came up to me and said they quotjust needed to talk to mequot i thought i was in the clear because the original officer told me it was okay to play on the sidewalk i guess he failed to let his fellow officers know because they detained me and threatened to take me downtown for it i do not promote deliberately defying authority i endorse good character and fun times within the system i did not have a drop of alcohol in my system and was just trying to be as patriotic as i can legally on the day of our independence so before rumors spread this is to clarify anything being said among the public i have youth that i teach small groups at in church i have youth that i coach i would never for a second want them to think that intentionally rebelling against authority is something that i am for nor do i want the parents of those youth to think that i am very thankful for the support of the greatest family friends and fans in the entire world i love all of ya039ll more than you can ever know please feel free to share this video to anyone out there america |
