Bookmarked 759 weeks ago this morning after the assassination of anwar al-awlaki ron paul made the following statements quotno i don039t think that039s a good way to deal with our problems he was born here al-awlaki was born here he is an american citizen he was never tried or charged for any crimes no one knows if he killed anybody we know he might have been associated with the underwear bomber but if the american people accept this blindly and casually that we now have an accepted practice of the president assassinating people who he thinks are bad guys i think it039s sad to start assassinating american citizens without charges we should think very seriously about thisquotafter his comments he received a lot of criticism one critic was commentator glenn beck but let us not forget that it was only last year that glenn beck was saying the exact same things that ron paul is now saying and it was specifically in reference to anwar al-awlaki in a conversation with judge napolitanohere is the description from the original video which i have cut down for this youtube versionjudge napolitano had beck on his show this weekend to discuss how the government wants to be able to kill americans abroad no questions asked apparently they have in their target anwar al awlaki a prime agent behind much of the terrorism we039ve seen against america but both the judge and beck vehemently disagree and the discussion gets rather intense at times what a great discussion |
