Bookmarked 589 weeks ago wwwtexasofficertrainingcom texas certified training academy provides quotsecurity trainingquot in austin tcta is a state certified security guard training academy which provides certified security training for bodyguards unarmed guards armed guards baton training handcuff training pepper spray training first aid- cpr training etc tcta is locally and veteran owned amp operated business while also offering mobile training at your locationin this video we cover a major problem that is taking place in the industry which is either the proper class is not being given or that some places are offering it online both of which is not authorized to our surprise there are a few security training schools openly offering an quotonlinequot course for a security license which is impossible no school or company can give the state authorized level-2 non-commission level-3 commission or level-4 bodyguard courses online at anytime dps-rsd regulations clearly state this and use the words quotclassroom environmentquot- which 100 prevents the use of taking this class at home and online periodyes there are some homeland security classes college courses and many security type certificate programs being offered online but again to stress- you cannot take the level-2 level-3 level-4 dps-rsd security courses online there is also a set minimum time the classes must be given and as it turns out according to hundreds of our clients that have gone elsewhere at one time or another 99 all report that classes elsewhere are not being given to time or standard-which is very sadsince we first put this video out we have had several companies and schools contact us -all upset and claiming they are authorized to do this and that we are harming their business they are harming the industry and their students we say each time we ask for them to provide us with the exact regulations they are citing and or written permission from dps-rsd to do this which overrides their stated regulations and guidelines- not one of them is yet to contact us back with such information or proof these are the organizations that are harming the industry by providing a shortcut that is not authorized anyway all to make a fast buck while really not caring about the the industry your education your safety and thus developing substandard guards which effect us all i can039t tell you how many times security officers come to our school to attend a class and 99 of all of them state that their employer or another location gave them a 1 or 2 hour level-2 non-commission class when it is supposed to be six hours by regulation and these are large national companies doing this not just the small guys which is disappointinglike we say if your a guard looking for a shortcut in training - you don039t belong in the industry and if you are a training academy or security company not providing proper training then shame on you and you are the problem in this industry- leave the training to the guys who care and want it done properlytcta prides itself on not being a certificate mill nor provides a check the box class nor do our instructors just teach the test tcta takes your training time education and money paid very seriously as we know that your life amp liability may depend the training that you receive our classes are designed to exceed the states standards and many security providers send their officers here to be taught correctly professionally and thoroughly while other schools provide you with just enough information to pass the written test you will leave here with as much information that most security supervisors and managers know |
