Bookmarked 453 weeks ago learn how the 70mm imax film projection system works it039s not all digital yet the resolution of 70mm imax film is still far greater than what 4k digital projectors can produce if you think all we do is put in a bly ray and press play think again this video takes you behind the scenes to show you exactly how a bone crushing 400lb film print runs through a mini cooper sized projector it039s epicsome of these shots were taken a year apart i began shooting with the gopro in december of 2014 and started to cut this together after a couple of months i couldn039t really figure out how i wanted this to flow so i put it on the shelf for a while towards the end of summer 2015 i picked up the nikon d5500 and began shooting more with that between that and the hero 4 i was able to get a lot of interesting shots and by early 2016 i had the final cut quite a long process but after working in imax for 9 years i really felt like most people seeing a 70mm film were completely unaware of how this works |
