running the seasons

over 150 miles ran in one year a total of 98366 photos this first-person hyperlapse flows through the seasons as the landscapes weather light and city evolvein 2015 i signed up for the madison marathon in montana i wanted to try and record the marathon using hyperlapse so i started testing it out on smaller runs anybody that has tried running with a camera knows the footage can be incredibly shaky after some intense stabilization in after effects i was able to create buttery-smooth hyperlapse while running happy with the results i decided to run the same 5 mile loop in my town while wearing a gopro strapped to my forehead using the timelapse setting i was able to create this continuous hyperlapse throughout the year showing off all the changes that come with the seasonsa few fun facts in the making of this:-1595 miles ran-98366 photos taken -83 hours of stabilization-2 gopros used-714gb of photos-5527gb of videosong: quotin a dreamquot instrumental by golden youthfi
what does a solar eclipse look like from the edge of space hyperlapse at 165000 feet

https:wwwsentintospacecomin august 2017 we travelled to wyoming to film a solar eclipse we launched a high altitude weather balloon filled with helium to an altitude exceeding 50km timing the apex of the flight to coincide with totalityusing a series of cameras aligned with nanometre precision we filmed 360 degrees of footage for three hours from launch on landing we stitched the footage together and digitally stabilised the footage frame by frame to artificially lock the viewer perspective on the horizon cropping down to a traditional 16:9 ratio finally we speed-ramped the footage to create the world039s first hyperlapse of an eclipse from the edge of space for more information about our launch check out our article about the project: https:wwwsentintospacecompostsolar-eclipse-from-space-for-bbcto see the launch and some more amazing moments from the flight in full 360 see the bbc039s video: https:youtube53pvdekgbnocheck out our very first 360 hyperlapse here: https:youtube
world039s first sunset hyperlapse from an airplane - 4k ultrahd - tjoezcom

a hyperlapse is not the same as a timelapse they are the same basic principle however they employ a different type of shootingread about how i did it on my blog here: http:bitly1g95r4yquotthe sound of your shutter clicking is annoying the people around youquot- quoti know i don039t care at the moment i039m shooting some absolutely unique footagequotlast week i was lucky enough to shoot the world039s first sunset hyperlapse sequence from an airplane here039s how i did itlet me start off by saying that cinema-productions have been shooting similar looking footage for years the difference here however is that i shot this footage using the hyperlapse technique that039s been making the rounds on the internet for the past two years or soa hyperlapse is a special photography technique where you take a series of photos with similar framing while physically moving inbetween every shot after stabilizing the footage with special software you quite literally in this case get a flight through time and space because you039re shooting at a slower framerate than the usual 242530 frames per second the rendered video will show the world in fastforwardanother advantage: as i039m shooting stills not video i039m able to create ultra high definition video files with resolutions greater than 5klast week i was about to fly back from coolangata airport gold coast australia to sydney when i noticed the sun was about to set with some great cloud coverage knowing that i039d have a big chance of shooting some great stills i loaded up my canon 5d mkiii with a fresh battery and two empty memory cards ready to shoot lens of choice was the canon 24-105l great focal range and incredibly useful built in stabilisationduring take-off i could see beautiful 039god rays039 forming sunlight shooting through the clouds creating golden rays of light and got very excited a few minutes later i ended up with this photo http:bitly1dooyu8 have a look at the full gallery of stills here: http:bitly1ct0grvthis was only the beginning20 minutes later the clouds were looking great from 30000 feet up in the air and i decided to try out some hyperlapse sequences by setting my camera to drive-mode and shooting continuous stills what i was able to shoot next was unique and incredibly exciting to capturethe plane angled itself towards the setting sun i had just shot a number of cloud sequences where you can actually see the light changing gradually as the sun was getting closer and closer towards the edge of the clouds at the horizon right when the climax was about to happen i was able to compose a frame where the planes wing wasn039t visible and i had a clear line of sight of the sun going downholding the camera very very still controlling my breathing and annoying everyone around me with my fast paced shutter firing i knew i was in the process of capturing a world039s firsttechnical details:shot with a canon 5d mkiii body and 24-105l lens sandisk extreme sd and cf cardsstabilized in adobe after effects edited in final cut pro x 101i039m a professional timelapse and hyperlapse photographer that loves to travel i currently live in sydney australia working on a bunch of cool projects with a bunch of amazing peoplemy social media pages:website: http:wwwbitly1hyhnwofacebook: http:wwwonfbme1fzamz7google plus: http:wwwplusgooglecom matthewvandeputtetwitter: http:wwwbitly1fzas2tinstagram: http:wwwbitly1fzax6btumblr: http:wwwbitly1fzabmsfor licensing inquiries please use the contact form on my website http:bitly1hyhnwo
