Bookmarked 785 weeks ago 15th february 2011: this morning i made a two-minute speech during the debate on proposals to fit speed limiters on light commercial vans i ran over by about 15 seconds but as the chairman was being lax with everyone else i thought i would get my extra bit of time as wellthis is what i had to say:quotwhenever i hear meps discussing ways to extract more money out of the little people in the name of 039climate change039 i am struck by two thingsthe first is how no-one talks about 039global warming039 any more clearly even the most out-of-touch meps have realised that exposes of fraudulent pseudo science and record cold winters across the globe have made the public rightly very skeptical about all the deceitful propaganda about drowning polar bearsthe second is the car park beneath us porsches mercs bmws suvs - a show-room of gas-guzzling luxury for the people who tut-tut in disapproval at men in white vans and plot to make their working lives even harder with speed limiters and financial penaltiesand all for a dogma based on discredited statistics peddled by a clique of bought-and-paid-for academics funded and hyped by super-rich vested interests in the green-industrial complex - al gore prince charles shell and goldman sachs - all of whom stand to steal a fortune from the taxes harvested through wind factory subsidies and carbon tradingwhile i appreciate the efforts of some meps to blunt the worst excesses of this c02 hysteria the plain truth is that anyone who even gives credence to the threadbare hoax of man-made global warming is a collaborator with the deadliest scam in historyyes deadly because it isn039t only robbing ordinary people and de-industrialising the west it is also right now starving to death hundreds of thousands of the world039s poorest children as food crops are replaced by taxpayer-subsidised bio-fuelsbut it039s boosting profits at monsanto and giving meps all-expenses paid trips to palm oil plantations in malaysia so that039s alright isn039t itno it039s not particularly as it039s diverting attention from the real crisis - not the fact that we039re releasing carbon dioxide from fossil fuels but that we039re beginning to run low on the oil which powers our civilisation every day wasted talking about limiting emissions of nature039s most important fertiliser is a day lost in the struggle to sustain more and more people on less and less energy if it wasn039t such a tragedy it would be a farcequot after i had spoken carl schlyter a swedish green and ally of sinn fein challenged me with a blue card intervention claiming that the record cold winter has only been in part of europe and north america i accepted the challenge and pointed out that right now south korea is in the grip of the coldest winter for 100 years then i ripped into more of their nonsense - i don039t think he will be too inclined to try that againhttp:wwwnickgriffinmepeucontentman-made-global-warming-deadliest-scam-history |
