updated 6-28-2018 i have finished the latest version of the turbo burn barrel i am changing the name to supercharged burn barrel as it really is a super charger compared to a turbo charger i will soon shoot a horizontal video of the supercharged burn barrel after completion but before using it to show how it is made then i will do another video showing it working now i need to respond to lots of the comments about upsetting my neighbors i live in a very rural area on 22 acres we are all allowed to burn yard waste in our town my neighbors are not close enough to hear it or see it the smoke goes right up into the sky faster than normal because of the heat no smoke goes onto their land i also have no ash left in the barrel when done i can burn green items in minutes without smoking out other land owners they might be able to smell it at some point but that is about it when they burn yard debris i get smoke and smell on my land because it sits there smoldering while it burns and they are left

http:wwwpatreoncomforgottenweaponsthe mag-7 is an unusual shotgun made in south africa in the 1990s and imported to the us in small numbers the idea of the gun was to offer maximum firepower in the smallest package possible and to this end the gun had no buttstock and a 126 inch 320mm barrel it was chambered for 60mm 12 gauge shells feeding from a 5-round detachable box magazine in the grip of the gununfortunately importation into the us required modification to the gun to avoid it being classified as an nfa quotshort barreled shotgunquot or aow this entailed extending the barrel to about 20 inches inches 500mm and adding a wooden buttstock these changes utterly defeat the purpose of a small and concealable shotgun in addition the stock design is quite poor and has a comb so high that getting a sight picture is very difficultthe general handling of the mag-7 is also rather poor in my opinion the grip is quite large to accommodate the box magazine and the gun is bulkier and heavier than one might expect from photographs the pump itself overlaps the trigger guard which results in the shooter smacking their trigger finger should they index it on the trigger guard which cycling the gunthe final strike against the mag-7 in the us is its use of 60mm shells these are not in general circulation in the us and can be very difficult to find a handloader could certainly form their own shells but this is not a common practice the oft-cited alternative of using aguila 45mm minishells is not practical as these shells are too short to cycle reliablygiven the choice i would take one of the cobray streetsweepers over this thing

aloha fellow scientists have you ever seen anything so cool so after watching nighthawkinlight039s video i knew i had to do this it was easy to do all i needed was a ts8000 torch and 10 feet of 78 tubing from the hardware storeinspiration for this video nighthawkinlights video - https:wwwyoutubecomwatchv=jxoqw-_udx4the torch is self-igniting meaning it has an electric sparker built in when the button is pressed halfway the torch mixes a perfect combination of propane and air into the tube when the button is fully pressed the torch sparks sending a flame flying through the tube i tried to color the flame with some boric acid and it turned bright green nighthawkinlight gave me the idea to try powered charcoal to shoot embers and orange flame worked greatwell this experiment was not explody enough for me so i used the same concept to build a propane powered cannon this is honestly the best gas cannon i039ve ever used it is just so simple you could probably shoot 20 golfballs a minute the length of a football field or farther the canon shot golf balls over 600 feet in the air im sure you can do tons of other cool things with this concept let my know if you want me to try somethingplans for the cannon - http:imgurcomaivotpjdifferent torches and if they will work - http:imgurcomaw6ji8--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- one important thing i forgot to mention in the video is the fit of the object in the barrel if you completely plug the barrel the gas mixture does not enter the tube because torch only 039passively039 blows the mixture down the tube into the combustion chamber all the projectiles i shot had some 039slack039 in the barrel---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------if you followed me on social media you would have gotten sneak peeks for this videofacebook:https:wwwfacebookcomthebackyardscientistofficialtwitter: chemicalkevyhttp:twittercomchemicalkevy

an oil drum barrel and a bit of metal pipe is all you need to make a really simple but effective pizza oven it may not look very fancy but it works well and it will cook a whole lot of pizza also instead of waiting for daysweeks for your clay oven to dry enough to use an earth oven can be made and used on the same day which is really handy if you have a few people coming roundplease like and share if you enjoyed this video : - a few notes on our oven first up thanks a million to maggie bill and michael who arrived from the us just in time to help build this oven they also did most of the filming for this - and michael made some excellent pizza dough too thanks guys you were greatthe soilearthstones are vital to keep the heat in but you could use sand clay or bricks too dont use bark mulch or anything similar as it will catch fire for sure on our oven the soil ended up being around 8 thick at the top which was good but more than was really needed we would have built the whole thing into a bank which would have saved a lot of work but there wasnt one handy i would suggest you aim for 6 minimumthe chimney pipe isnt essential the fire would burn anyway but it makes controlling the fire easier you need a hot oven which means a fast burning fire take it down or block it off when the fire is out to retain the heatfuel small section dry branches are best for a fast hot fire you dont want a smouldering cool fire so perhaps your very first job is to prep your fuel and leave it to dry somewhere we cut ours to length and left it in the greenhouse for a week only thin flat foods can be cooked at such high temperatures hence pizzas and flans as the oven cools you can try thicker breads and cakes and you could cook a casserole over night too on the day we made this video we were cooking for over an hour and the oven could have cooked for quite a while longerthe sandblocks inside and the soil outside were all damp so some heat was needed to dry them out before they could really heat up drying them first would have helped but obviously wasnt essential if we keep this oven covered then it will always be ready to jump into culinary actionyou dont need a wooden door you could just use the drum lid but timber is an insulator so it should keep more heat in also the weight of the soil squashed the barrel a bit so the lid didnt fit properly draughts are the worst try to keep it closed up really tight you could use bricks for a door too our wooded one was scorched black but a splash of water stopped it combustingif youre interested in the rounders game you might like to see last years matchhttps:wwwyoutubecomwatchv=8m_sjjvsk3y
